We all collect “things over the years that become part of who we are as individuals. Quite often these things only have value to their owner and offer interesting perspectives on the individual.  We asked Mark to share with us his most prized possessions . . .
My mom passed away in January of 2002. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. I carry a memoriam card with her photo in my pocket every day. The song “In Loving Memory is about her and is just another example of what a big role the guitar plays in my life.
|My Son’s Artwork
It’s amazing what a scribble on a piece of paper or a handprint can mean to you. I can’t imagine a life without these little reminders on the fridge of just how lucky I am.
|Old Man Painting
My dad is a great artist. The collection of his art is very small, but amazing. There is no real history leading up to it...no progression in the quality of his work...there is only a handful of pieces and they would blow you away. He is one of those people who’s born with it. As part of life’s sick joke, he developed a muscle disorder in his eye early into art school and had to abandon his dream. He gave me a charcoal of an old man in the style of Albrecht Dürer that always hung in our living room growing up. It’s a constant reminder to me of how truly gifted an individual can be and how we have to work hard to achieve our dreams and appreciate every moment we spend living them if we are so lucky.
|#1 Signature Series Guitar
PRS gave me the first Mark Tremonti singlecut, which is also the first singlecut ever made by PRS.
|Instructional Guitar DVD's
Have I told you that I am a huge fan of guitar instructional videos? I am pretty sure I have every one that is out there. This is only one drawer...
Remember those old D&D hard cover manuals? I was never really into the game, but I spent many hours as a kid tracing them. I was fortunate enough to become acquainted with the artist and now have some of the original oil paintings on my wall. I shake my head every time I walk by them and think “No Way...
“Warriors, come out to play-ay! Warriors is one of my favorite movies ever, it never gets old and reminds me of when I was a kid. One of my friends who knows that I am a big fan gave me the actual vest that Cochise wore in the movie.
Perfectly aged, complete with rust. The smell of gas & exhaust, the huge steering wheel and rattles you can’t find...You either get it or you don’t...
|Medieval Madness Pinball Machine
Above all other games, I love pinball. Keeps my fingers quick, probably makes me a better guitarist.
