Holy 2000s, Batman!

Holy 2000s, Batman!

When they said rock was making a comeback, they weren't kidding! With returns from a whole slew of late 90s/2000s nu-metal bands, including Godsmack, Coal Chamber, Slipknot, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed and others, it seems as if all the major players are back and ready to save Rock N' Roll!  And if you don't think all those bands are nu-metal, then you can take your tight shirts and Jnco jeans and go argue at your high school cafeteria table about it.

Well, today it was announced that a quintessentially 2000s tour is going to be happening across North America late summer/fall!  This is actually happening!  No, this is not the year 2000, and yes, this is reality.

Godsmack frontman Sully Erna told

"“I haven’t been this excited about a tour like Godsmack/Sevendust since we toured with Metallica,” said Godsmack frontman Sully Erna. This is how concerts should be, two bands that love and complement each other the way fans want it! This will be a MUST SEE concert! Don’t Miss it!” Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery adds, “We have a lot of history with Godsmack personally and musically and it’s going to be an incredible experience touring with them. We came up together on the music scene and it will be an honor to share the stage with them again and give fans their money’s worth. I can’t think of a better way or a better band to start this touring cycle with. Get ready!”"

Sevendust will be hitting the road with Godsmack beginning July 17 - and guess what?  Certain dates will feature none other than Breaking Benjamin

So if you have been waiting for your nu-metal-y, alternative, grungy fix, this tour is sure to wet your appetite.  (Seriously, try not to freak out... Shannon Larkin and Morgan Rose under the same roof?!)
