JOSH HOMME, ELTON JOHN AND OTHERS TO GET THEIR OWN RADIO SHOWS ON APPLE MUSIC

It wasn’t clear exactly what Apple was trying to do when they announced their new music streaming service, Apple Music. Now, however, details about Artist-hosted radio streams will be a huge advantage that Apple will have in the streaming war.

So far, a plethora of artists have already been booked for their own hour long streams: St. Vincent will be curating playlists for fans who call in or write letters called ‘Clark’s Mixtape Delivery Service’, Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age has a show simply titled ‘The Alligator Hour’, Dr. Dre has a show called ‘The Pharmacy’, and Elton John has the ‘Rocket Hour’. It’s also been confirmed that Drake, Pharell, Disclosure, and even Jaden Smith will all have their own shows as well.

While the shows are live-stream only, an Apple rep has confirmed that there will be On-Demand streaming made available, eventually.

The first show, ‘Clark’s Mixtape Delivery Service’, will premiere tonight at 10:00 P.M. EDT at this location
