Sad news in the Slipknot camp arose last night in the form of an "undisclosed" medical emergency that saw new bass player Alessandro VMAN Venturello admitted to the hospital after being evacuated out of the show in an ambulance.
The band was playing a live gig in Hartford, CT and had to stop the set for about 20 minutes while they sorted out how to best handle the situation. The band eventually made the call to continue on as an 8-piece with Corey Taylor taking the stage to inform the crowd what went down and what happens next:
"I'm gonna let you know what's going on right now. I'm sorry to say that our bass player, Alex, had… Something happened. I'm not sure what happened. He's been put into an ambulance and he's going to the hospital right now as we speak. But I want you all to make fucking noise for him. Send him some fucking love. Now, we had a choice to come back out here. We've had to modify some shit, but we're gonna keep on playing for you. It's what we want, it's what Alex would fucking want."

Slipknot then posted this to their Facebook, showing their love for Hartford, in turn showing love for Alex.
