Everyone loves Courtney Barnett. The crowd adores her, her opening acts gush over her kindness, and she possesses the kind of good-natured charisma necessary to assemble a star-studded roster for her touring music festival, Here & There. Featuring a rotating bill of musicians, the lineup runs the gamut from ascendant indie acts like Japanese Breakfast and Snail Mail to household names like Sleater-Kinney and Fred Armisen. We caught Here & There’s stop at The Salt Shed, Chicago’s newest music venue, to see Barnett perform with pop powerhouse Alvvays and New Zealand trio The Beths.
