Fans of Southern-flavored hard rock riffers Black Stone Cherry have long awaited the follow up to 2011's "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea". Come May 6th, the group will release their fourth full length album entitled "Magic Mountain".
Fresh off the release of the hit lead single "Me and Mary Jane", the band has just debuted a free stream of another song from the upcoming 13 song album. The song is called "Fiesta Del Fuego" and packs a healthy dose of riffs and four-on-the-floor stomp into a 4+ minute jam, which takes a complete direction change by the end of the tune. Fans of Zeppelin and Skynyrd get ready, this is the modern rock you have been seeking.
Similar to "Me and Mary Jane", this new song features plenty of guitar-driven single string riffing and the powerful lead vocals of Chris Robertson. You can check out both songs here:

The new album was also produced by Joe Barresi (see La Gargola - Chevelle) and plenty of screaming guitars, hearty vocals, growling bass, and even some cowbell can be found within its tunes. The band remarked on the recording process with Barresi: "Not since before our first album have we felt the freedom and confidence that we felt while writing and recording this album. After touring the world behind three previous albums that we are extremely proud of, we feel this album best captures the live energy, honesty and vibe that encompasses our true musicianship."
So far the 2 songs from Magic Mountain seem to showcase a sound that is both refined yet dark, capturing some of the best elements from the early days to the newer sounds found on the second and third albums. Sing-along choruses and plenty of pounding Bonham-esque drums are sure to make these new songs a blast to experience live!
Black Stone Cherry will be kicking off a massive touring cycle in support of "Magic Mountain" in the UK with a plethora of sold-out shows. The tour has been titled "The Southern Hospitality Tour" and interestingly will showcase the band creating a different setlist each night, inspired directly by fan input. These shows are sure to be completely unique and will offer fans a different show each and every night. The band is also making time in the lengthy set to stop the music and answer fan questions, which promises to make these shows very special for the band's die-hard following.
