FAITH NO MORE DEBUT THEIR NEW SINGLE

Almost a couple of months ago, Faith No More revealed their single that they would be selling for record store day: Motherfucker. People were thrown off a bit by the different album art, but that’s in the past. The new single will be available on iTunes on December 9th, but until then, the band has previewed the song!

You can listen to it here:

The track is absolutely insane, it’s just this punchy mess with slow, biting vocals. There's just this natural aggression when you hear that slow moving chant of "Get the motherfucker on the phone..." When asked about the new music by Rolling Stone, Billy Gould, the band’s bassist and producer for the new song and the new album, said:

“It feels apt that the first track we’re releasing is ‘Motherfucker,’ a song about accountability. Basically we’ve created, recorded and mixed a new body of work by ourselves and we’re releasing it on our own label. It’s a huge deal for us to only have ourselves to answer to at this point in our career and the song is about that, where the buck stops via the basic imagery of foie gras production, bondage. . .y’know, stuff like that.”

Their new album is due sometime around April of 2015, and is being released under their own Reclamation Records. Judging by this track, there is a lot to look forward to for the new album.

You can pre-order the new single on iTunes
