KILLER BE KILLED PLAY THEIR FIRST LIVE PERFORMANCE

KILLER BE KILLED PLAY THEIR FIRST LIVE PERFORMANCE

Killer Be Killed has members that are absolutely not fresh faces when it comes to making and performing some pretty heavy music, but they’re still only getting started as a group. The band, made up of the legendary former Sepultera vocalist Max Cavalera, The Dillinger Escape Plan’s own Greg Puciato, bassist Troy Sanders of Mastodon, and former The Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch, just released their first album as a group in May of last year. Now, for another first for the band, they’ve played their first ever live show together!

Their first ever show was for Soundwave festival in Australia last weekend (February 21st & 22nd), and were joined by guitarist Juan Montoya of MonstrO, as well as a fill-in drummer, Ben Koller of Converge. So, maybe their first show as a band was missing their drummer, and maybe it was somewhere way too far away for American fans to be a part of, but it still counts!

As with most concert footage, it’s fan filmed, so the audio and video quality won’t be the best. Either way, you can watch the videos below.

Metal Hammer also did an interview with bassist Troy Sanders, where he talks about how it felt to do the first performance for the band, and also includes some pretty nice pro shot footage as well. He also went on to talk about how and why the supergroup ended up forming and what it was like to record together for the first time.
