At this point, it goes without saying that Slipknot are back in full swing after their 6 year departure, and recent loss of some key members. They’ve released a new album (to critical acclaim), they’ve played their second Knotfest, started on an extensive tour, and they’ve even begun the writing process for their follow up to The Gray Chapter. Obviously, the band’s been keeping themselves busy enough, and it seems that it might be awhile before their able to catch a break. Their tour alone was supposed to run until the end of October, now that the band has been confirmed to go to Aftershock Festival in Sacramento. Now, the band has announced that they will be doing another Knotfest at the end of their tour:

This time, Knotfest will run for three days: October 23rd, 24th, and 25th 2015. The festival will take place at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. Unfortunately, no official lineup has been announced quite yet, but if past lineups are any indication, it’ll be an absolutely phenomenal show. There’s also no news on what kind of features will be there, like the drum circle or the Slipknot museum, so only time will tell what the festival will really hold this year. If the constant stream of video from the festival doesn’t make you hyped enough for this year’s incarnation, just check out this wrap-up video:

If that’s not enough, just watch the full performance Slipknot put on in 2014:

If that’s still not enough to get you excited for this year’s Knotfest, then nothing will. Maybe if the lineup comes out to be as good as the 2012 inaugural festival, then that might be able to help the lack of joy in your life. You could also go to Aftershock if the lineup concerns you, but if you’re going anywhere to see Slipknot, Knotfest is the way to go. The full lineup and ticket sales for the festival will be released on June 29th
