THE ULTIMATE RANDY RHOADS TRIBUTE(S)!

THE ULTIMATE RANDY RHOADS TRIBUTE(S)!

We have an absolutely explosive year in music coming up ahead of us. On top of practically every artist signed to Nuclear Blast releasing an album, along with an insane amount of others outside of the label, we’re getting another big release. Last month, it was announced that a bunch of artists were going to come together and do a Randy Rhoads tribute album entitled Randy Rhoads Remembered: VOL. 1, with a release date of January 23rd. Pretty sweet, but the list of artists is even sweeter...

It was released that the artists featured on the collab include: Megadeth’s David Ellefson, Sebastian Bach, Guns N’ Roses’ Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal, Testament’s Alex Skolnick, Machine Head’s Phil Demmel, Korn’s Ray Luzier, Adrenaline Mob’s Mike Orlando, and L.A. Guns’ Tracii Guns. Not only that, but one of the last songs on the album will be an instrumental piano piece written and performed by Kelle Rhoads, and will feature guitar solos from every guitarist involved in the collab. Now that’s an impressive, and it’s not too far away either, but that’s not the only good thing coming for 2015.

While the star power for the Ultimate Tribute is definitely weaker, hearing Serj’s rendition of Crazy Train sounds like it would be absolutely amazing. The Kelle Rhoads tracks off of Remembering Randy Rhoads seem like they’ll be amazing as well. Keep an eye out for these albums, they seem like they’d be quite cool
