WANT TO HEAR ARTISTS FROM SEATTLE IN WISCONSIN? TOO BAD.

WANT TO HEAR ARTISTS FROM SEATTLE IN WISCONSIN? TOO BAD.

Seattle has become an icon for music, as countless legendary artists have been spawned from the city. There’s just something about Seattle that causes people to want to make innovative, and just damn good music. For anyone living in Wisconsin, however, you won’t be able to hear any of it this Sunday. 94.5 the Lake has announced that they’re doing a “Say No to Seattle” campaign for this Sunday, as the Green Bay Packers are set to face off against the Seattle Seahawks. Their post on the radio station’s website to announce the campaign read:

“To help change the karma and give the Packers all the support they need for Sunday’s big title game, 94.5 The Lake has chosen to ‘Say No to Seattle.’ No Nirvana, no Pearl Jam, no Heart, until the Packers beat the Seahawks on Sunday! Go Pack Go!”

The city manager of Bainbridge Island created executive order 121212, which set out to ban eating and owning cheese in Bainbridge Island’s City Hall. One can’t help but wonder what the punishment for breaking the ban might be? Knowing how seriously some people take football, it wouldn’t actually be surprising if someone was put in a cell for an hour or two because of it...
